Goals of the Early Childhood Governor’s Institute 2009

The participants will engage in learning to:

1.)         Effectively observe the development, interactions, and relationship of students in their natural environments

2.)         Gather information (data)

3.)         Record and document observations in a meaningful and useful way

4.)         Develop data collection procedures, use data collected, and use different types of assessment

5.)         Develop a responsive plan for improving student achievement

6.)         Gain support, implement, and monitor a responsive plan for improving student achievement

7.)         Build capacity to read, analyze, and interpret assessment and other data

8.)         Use assessment data to make effective decisions for students

9.)         Share assessment data with families
